Fitnit · meal detail

Every nutrient,
at a glance

The meal detail card used to be a green number and a two-row grid of coloured figures with nothing tying them together. It is now the same numbers as five capsule sliders — the shape the date, time and meal controls above it already use — each with its own icon, and a fill that says what share of the meal it was.

Marketing-ready. The composites below are 2400×1500 and 1600×2000, dark ground, no status-bar edits. Both frames are real simulator captures of the same logged snack, not mockups.

Before and after

Same entry, same data. The before is what shipped in v1.131.0.

Before · number grid
Meal detail before: a large calorie count over a two-row grid of five coloured gram figures
After · capsule sliders
Meal detail after: flame icon beside the calorie count, then five capsule sliders for protein, carbs, fat, fiber and sugar, each with an icon and a tinted fill

What the fill means

Protein, carbs and fat are their share of the meal’s energy, weighted by calories rather than grams — the same weighting as the bar on the history row, so the two never disagree about whether a meal was mostly fat. Fiber and sugar are a share of carbs by weight, because both are carbohydrate: whole milk shows sugar edge to edge, a bowl of oats shows a sliver.

NutrientFill isWhole milk, 1½ cups
Proteinshare of calories35%
Carbsshare of calories16%
Fatshare of calories49%
Fibershare of carbs0%
Sugarshare of carbs100% · “all of carbs”

A sugar figure above the carbs figure is an analyser slip, not a fact about the meal, so every fill clamps to its own track. check-macro-split.ts asserts the whole-milk row above, the oats sliver, the clamp, and that a meal with no carbs renders two empty tracks rather than dividing by zero.

Six icons, one style

Three existed (the drumstick, wheat and avocado from the home rings). Three were drawn to match: flat silhouette, one hue, at most one accent at 42% opacity.
